While the Husband is Away

I shop! Obviously! My husband was away on a boy's golf weekend this weekend and so by Thursday, I had my weekend all planned out.  Friday: Home Goods.  Saturday: downtown Birmingham for brunch, shopping then spa.  Saturday night: Ikea with my sister.  Sunday: much needed day of rest! Here are my fabulous finds.  I'll definitely be shopping more at Complex in downtown Birmingham.  Such cute stuff!

Found the yellow locus candle holder, owl (I LOVE owls!!), the green eucalyptus (?) and green and white balls at my local Home Goods.

One of my FAVORITE boutiques in downtown Birmingham is called Suhm-thing and they have the cutest things! Gifts, jewelry, home decor - - and if you work in town (as I do) you can get 10% off your purchase! I found another lotus flower (because I'm obsessed with them) and this adorable iPhone case.

Thanks to the reco from a friend, we decided to check out the new shop Complex - also in downtown Birmingham.  It's a space filled with various different retailers - clothes, home, beauty, etc.  Since they opened last summer, I've probably walked by this store 1,000 times without going in.  It wasn't until I heard about Rococo (an accessories/apparel shop in the basement of the "complex") that I finally decided to check it out! And I'm so glad I did :)

Oh, Ikea...I have a love/hate relationship with you.  Love what I find...hate how much I spend.  However, I made OUT this time and walked out only spending about $100 bucks!  That might be a record best for me :)

I also bought a piece of furniture that I'm going debut once my project with it is finished.  Stay tuned :)

  1. Love the finds! I'll have to check out Complex & I'm ashamed to say I've never been to HomeGoods. I've heard wonderful things & love all the things my friends get from there. Of course that means I'm terrified I'll become HomeGoods-obsessed & spend too much money :)

  2. Let me know when you go to Complex so I can go with you! And yes, HomeGoods can be dangerous so I'll try to only allow myself a trip every 6 months!

  3. More Ikea gripes - It's always a mad house and while I love their prices, some of their furniture is hard to put together! But I love your finds. Super cute.

  4. I always have to treat Brad to a cinnamon roll when we are there because he gets so stressed out over the crowds!

Thanks for reading!
