While this trend has been around for awhile, it came back this spring with a bang! It's been a celeb staple on the red carpet and a favorite on the runways. It's a perfect look for summer because the bright colors really work well with tanned skin.
There are a bunch of different ways to wear color blocking. The easiest way is to pair separates - a bright hue with a neutral. Keeping the darker color on the parts you want to minimize and the lighter color on the area you want to flaunt will help flatter your shape!
If you're a little more daring, you can totally do a 3 color combination! I read somewhere that this tri-combo typically works the best - - one bold, one bright (like a neon) and one neutral. For example, you could do a hot pink (bright) with a cobalt blue (bold) and white (neutral). Or how about coral (bright), grey (bold) and ivory (neutral)? Or a look that I really like is wearing three colors of the same hue. Mix red, coral and pink or a cobalt blue, navy and sky blue.
Another easy way to incorporate this trend into your life is to wear pieces that are already colorblocked for you! Whether it be dresses, shoes or purses - - there are a ton cute options that take the thinking out of it!
