Monochromatic Challenge

It's fashion challenge month #2 with Everybody, Everywear!  Last month I showed you my take on color-blocking (here), this month it's all about the monochrome look.  This trend debuted in fall 2011 and is all about wearing one color for your entire outfit.  I really like the way it looked on the runway {it has a very slimming effect} but I had no idea how I would create this within my own wardrobe.

Monochromatic

I quickly realized that I own a ton of prints!  Not so great for recreating this trend.  My immediate thought was to go all white, but I wanted to see what else I could come up with before going that route.

All blue for look #1
I liked it!  And if the Blue Man Group needs an extra member, I'm a shoe in!
Old Navy Belt (similar)
Nine West Shoes (similar)

And here's my all white monochromatic look.
Simple and summery.

J.Crew Necklace (I bought mine on Ebay)
Forever 21 Shoes (similar)

Which look do you like better? Blue or white?

Don't forget to like my new Facebook page for a chance to win this clutch!
Contest ends this week!

  5. Both of these looks are adorable! I think I might prefer the white; the sheer top is so cute! :)
