Emily Everlane

Isn't that a pretty name???
She sounds like she should be an actress or maybe a bond girl.

In actuality, I have my friend Emily contributing on the blog today to tell us about her favorite new website Everlane!  So yeah, sorry for the lame name joke...

I’m constantly looking for basic shirts. My ideal closet would include 2 tank tops, 2 t-shirts and 2 long-sleeved t-shirts in white, grey and black. They go with everything and serve as good layering pieces. I see them as the canvas upon which to paint the rest of my outfit.

I’ve struggled with finding these basics. I’ve found that the really inexpensive ones all require a camisole under them to ensure proper coverage (not ideal in 95 degree weather like we’ve had this summer). Yet find it hard to spend $50+ for something as simple as a t-shirt.

That is until my friend introduced me to It turns out that I’m not the only person with this problem there is a whole business that is working to correct it.

Everlane only make a few products, shirts mostly with a few accessories. They come in a variety of colors and at a super affordable price! Their site is super cute too.
I bought their v-neck classic tee in white – only $15 and free shipping! It has the right cotton to spandex ratio, right thickness, and long enough for my abnormal torso. I will now be buying it in every color and will need to buy their tanks as well.
You have to join the site but so far after 2 weeks I’ve only gotten 1 email from them. Which is appreciated given all of my sample sale sites emails.
