So I mentioned yesterday that I would share my new "addiction" with ya'll, so here goes nothing!
Once I finished my pretty new book stack, I realized that my candle looked really plain jane.
Looked like something I bought from the dollar store (and it probably was!).
So I decided to try something I've been seeing EVERYWHERE on Pinterest...
DIP PAINTING!!!!!
And it's really hard you guys....
You diiiip it....
And drrrrry it!
And then repeat with everything in your entire house...
Old vases...
DIPPED.
{then spray glossed for a shiny finish}
Old votives... DOUBLE DIPPED
Topiaries stands....
{Sort of} DIPPED.
...I had to finish up with a brush.
Help! Someone admit me to D.A.!!!
{dippers anonymous}
It's awesome because it's SO easy and can be done in 5 minutes...but also dangerously addicting.
Have you tried dip painting yet?

A great weekend project you can do with kids too!
Just don't say I didn't warn ya!

Thanks! I agree! Such an easy change and can make such a difference!
DeleteFound your blog via the IHeart hop! Excited to follow along with you! I noticed you don't have any painter's tape on the candle holder. There was a clean line without the tape? Hope that makes sense! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Amy! Good catch! I forgot to mention that! Yes, I definitely used painters tape on the vase - hence the clean line! It was so big I was worried I wouldn't be able to control the dipping!
DeleteHappy you found me!
Kim :)
This is so cute, :). Just a question , with the wooden spoon and things like that.. Would the painted start coming off over a period of time..?? :)
